Typical West Country cruise itinerary

The South West Coast of England has some stunning locations and great sailing. The opportunity to cruise there with your own Skipper/Instructor to guide you, is not to be missed. These Adventure Sailing Cruises are suitable for anyone, whatever your experience. As well as developing your sailing skills, you will stop in some fantastic locations.

Locations visited will vary, depending upon weather, tide and crew capability, experience and preferences but could include Dartmouth, Fowey, Falmouth and, depending upon the weather, the Isles of Scilly.

Typical programme for a 9 day West Country cruise:
Friday 17:00 Meet your skipper onboard at Haslar Marina. After a safety briefing, introduction to the boat and a meal together, head out for an overnight sail to Dartmouth (everyone gets a chance to stand watch for part of the night).
Saturday Arrive late afternoon at the spectacular entrance to Dartmouth. Stop at a marina overnight.
Sunday Head west to the town quay in the heart of Falmouth.
Monday Round the Lizard, pass Land's end and head out into the Atlantic. Stop at Hugh Town on St Mary's in the Isles of Scilly.
Tuesday Spend some time exploring the islands, anchor between Tresco and Bryher for the night.
Wednesday Head back to the mainland and stop in the picturesque Helford river.
Thursday Take the short hop to Fowey and a chance to explore this historic town.
Friday Head east again to visit the ever-popular Salcombe for the night.
Saturday After exploring Salcombe, leave for an overnight sail back to Gosport.
Sunday Arrive at Haslar marina mid afternoon, ready to depart for home around 17:00.

All food onboard - meals, snacks, hot beverages and soft drinks - will be provided.

This itinerary is just an example of what your cruise could include. Each Adventure Sailing Cruise will have its own bespoke programme. Just let us know if there is something specific that you would like to include and we will do what we can to incorporate it.
